Commission Process
-
The client contacts me to discuss what they
would like in a portrait. A contract can be drawn up as to
these specifics, and upon signing of it, a non-refundable
deposit will be collected of 20% of the contract amount.
This will hold the client's place on my waiting list.
-
I like to paint from photographs. These can
be photos of the subject sent to me by the client as long as
they are a very good representation of the subject's face as
it should appear in the painting ( of course, I can make
some changes in body position, clothing or hairstyle at the
request of the client). Otherwise, I will travel to client's
location to take the photos myself. After photos are
developed, the client and I will decide on pose and other
details, either in person or by mail. At this time, another
20% of the portrait price will be collected. The portrait is
painted in my studio, which may take 6 to 8 weeks, depending
on the details.
-
The finished painting will be delivered or
shipped to the client, at which time, the balance is due.
